Neilston are still seeking their first win of the 2023/24 league campaign after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Shotts Bon Accord on Saturday.

Adam Hunter scored the only goal of the game at Hannah Park after a quarter of an hour as Shotts maintained their perfect start to the season.

The Farmer's Boys do at least have a point on the board after recording a 2-2 draw with Whitletts Victoria last Wednesday night.

However, Kevin Muirhead will no doubt be disappointed not have bagged all three, as his team threw away a two-goal lead at the Brig O’Lea.

David Collins and Dillan Duddy had put Neilston in a promising position but the visitors hit back with two goals of their own in five second-half minutes to earn a point.

Neilston currently find themselves second bottom in the First Division, ahead of Kilbirnie Ladeside, after three rounds of fixtures.

Next up for the Farmer’s Boys is the visit of Petershill this Saturday, with kick-off at 2pm.
