Neilston picked up a valuable point against Cambuslang Rangers at the Brig O’Lea on Saturday as they started life without Kevin Muirhead in the dugout.
Muirhead stepped down as manager after a 4-0 defeat at Kilbirnie Ladeside in Neilston’s previous match, with Andy Whiteford and Scott Perry taking charge of the team at the weekend.
David Donnelly got the hosts off to a perfect start with the opener but Camby hit back to take a 2-1 lead into the second half, only for Donnelly to net an equaliser after the break.
Neilston have the chance to reach the semi-finals of the Strathclyde Demolition Cup this weekend as they host Thorn Athletic, who are enjoying a good season in the Fourth Division and currently sit in fifth place.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 2pm.
Meanwhile, the Farmer’s Boys have set a closing date of November 17 for applications for the role of manager.
